The Retirement Bungalows project in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, is a development of 54 purpose-built retirement bungalows that were constructed in 2007. These bungalows were built in accordance with the 2005 Building Regulations and received grant funding from the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) for their sustainable development and investment in renewable technology.
Installation of Nilan VP18 EK6 systems. These systems are designed to provide ventilation and active air-to-air heating while also supplying domestic hot water using exhausted air. In addition to this, there is backup heating support provided through underfloor heating. This combination of features makes the Nilan VP18 EK6 an ideal solution for a nursing home setting, where it is essential to ensure a continuous supply of fresh air, maintain a constant temperature of +21°C, and offer cooling capabilities during the summer months.
Notably, this system is also energy-efficient, with an average electricity bill of only €800 per year per dwelling. This efficiency is vital in providing comfort and cost savings for the residents of the retirement bungalows while meeting sustainability and energy-efficiency goals.
