Nilan solution makes UK government’s list of energy efficient products

The ventilation and heat recovery solution Comfort 300 Top has been recognised on the official list of products complying with UK building regulations. The inclusion to the list proves the high energy efficiency of the solution as tested by the organisation behind the list.

Comfort-300-TopThe most popular model in the UK of our Comfort range of ventilation systems with heat recovery, Comfort 300 Top, has been approved for installation in new build homes in the country, having undergone official tests proving a heat recovery efficiency of 90%.
The approval means that the Comfort 300 Top has been included on the Appendix Q list of the UK government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings (SAP). SAP places stringent demands on the energy performance of all new build homes. Only approved products presented on the Appendix Q list can undergo and be rated by the assessment procedure. Consequently, as the Comfort 300 Top has made the list, architects and consulting engineers can access and use the performance data of the unit and subsequently prove compliance with building regulations of any home in which the solution is installed.

Applying for inclusion on the list is a result of Nilan’s increasing activities on the international market of ventilation and indoor climate solutions:

– Navigating in an international market with numerous national regulations and varying demands requires us to seek approvals such as that of the SAP. We’re happy to conclude that we succeeded in this with such excellent test results, says Nilan Key Account Manager Philip Dahl.

Ventilation with various features

The Comfort 300 Top not only offers a healthy indoor climate through mechanical balanced ventilation with heat recovery, thus exploiting the energy in the extract air to heat the supply air. It also comes standard with an automatic bypass function, allowing for comfort cooling during the summer months, and a humidity sensor that ensures a comfortable humidity level. Furthermore, the unit is operated via a programmable control that is easy to use and enables the residents to set and choose from three weekly programs.
